Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of any app developed by Parsec Pages, including P_Notes, Writers_Notes, Beta-Reader-Lab, BR-Editor, and Indie-Writer (“the Apps”). By installing or using any of these Apps, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.

2. Definitions

“App” refers to any of the software titles listed above.

“Content” refers to any writing, drafts, notes, or files you create using the App.

“Device” refers to the hardware on which the App is installed.

3. Your Content

You own 100% of your writing, drafts, notes, and any other content you create. We do not claim any rights over your work.

4. Data Storage

All content is stored locally on your device. We do not store, access, or transmit your content in any way.

5. Backups

Some Apps include optional backup tools. You are responsible for creating backups, storing them safely, and managing any third-party cloud services you choose to use.

We are not responsible for data loss caused by device failure, accidental deletion, or issues with third-party services.

6. Internet Use

Most features work offline. Some Apps may use the internet for:

• Dictionary lookups
• Thesaurus searches
• Optional Cloud Sync (if available in that specific App)

No personal data or writing content is transmitted during dictionary or thesaurus lookups.

7. No Account Required

None of the Apps require accounts, logins, or automatic cloud syncing. Any cloud storage use is optional and initiated by you.

8. Software Updates

Updates may improve features or fix bugs. The Apps may notify you of available updates, but they do not collect data during this process.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Apps to create, store, or distribute content that violates local laws. You are solely responsible for your own content.

10. License and Restrictions

You are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Apps. You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the Apps
• Distribute, resell, or sublicense the Apps
• Use the Apps in a way that harms their functionality or other users

11. Intellectual Property

The Apps, including their design, code, and features, are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy or reproduce any part of the Apps except as allowed by these Terms.

12. Termination

We may discontinue or restrict access to any App at any time if necessary for maintenance, legal compliance, or security reasons.

You may stop using any App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Parsec Pages is not liable for:

• Data loss
• Device failure
• Backup corruption
• Third-party cloud service issues
• Any damages resulting from your use of the Apps

14. Warranty Disclaimer

The Apps are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Apps will be error-free or uninterrupted.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of your local jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

16. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining sections remain in effect.

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. If changes occur, you will be notified within the App or through an update notice.
