These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Indie Writer application ("Indie Writer" or "the App"). By using Indie Writer, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.
Indie Writer is developed and maintained by Parsec Pages.
"App" refers to the Indie Writer software you have installed.
"Content" refers to any writing, drafts, notes, or files you create using Indie Writer.
"Device" refers to the hardware on which Indie Writer is installed.
You own 100% of your writing, drafts, notes, and any other content you create in Indie Writer. We do not claim any rights over your work.
All content is stored locally on your device. We do not store, access, or transmit your content.
Indie Writer provides optional backup tools. You are responsible for creating backups, storing them safely, and managing any third-party cloud services you choose to use.
We are not responsible for loss of data caused by device failure, accidental deletion, or third-party services.
Indie Writer does not require internet access except for dictionary and thesaurus lookups. No personal data or writing content is transmitted during these lookups.
Indie Writer does not use accounts, logins, or automatic cloud syncing unless you manually choose to store backups in your own cloud service.
Updates may improve features or fix bugs. Indie Writer may notify you of available updates, but does not automatically collect data during this process.
You agree not to use Indie Writer to create or store content that violates local laws. You are responsible for your own content.
You are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use Indie Writer. You may not:
Indie Writer, including its design, code, and features, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy or reproduce any part of Indie Writer except as allowed by these Terms.
We may discontinue Indie Writer or restrict access to it at any time, without notice, if necessary for maintenance, legal compliance, or security reasons.
You may stop using Indie Writer at any time by uninstalling it from your device.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for data loss, device failure, backup corruption, third-party cloud service issues, or any damages resulting from your use of Indie Writer.
Indie Writer is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that Indie Writer will be error-free or uninterrupted.
These Terms are governed by the laws of your local jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining sections remain in effect.
We may update these Terms. If changes occur, you will be notified within Indie Writer or through an update notice.
